Overlooking a breathtaking private lake, this impressive manor house is beautifully appointed to the highest standards in keeping with the ambience of a grand 1890's residence. Exquisite detail throughout is evident in the ornate decorated cornices, ceiling roses, dado panelling, stained glass windows, beautiful antique fittings and rich, luxurious fabrics and furnishings. The superb detail is carried through each of the individually styled guest accommodation. From the Manor's majestic entrance, to the classic drawing room and the magnificent formal dining room, Woodman Estate reflects traditional European opulence.

Around the manor are formal gardens of box hedge, rose beds, sweeping lawns and herbaceous borders. Especially unique of course is the breathtaking lake. From most rooms in the manor there are panoramic views of the water, which is lit in the evening providing a magical scene.

Secluded around the lake are three stunning standalone chalets, each accommodating one couple in very private luxury. These are built in a New England architectural style and are complete with balconies over the water.

Woodmans Restaurant, which has been recommended in The Age Good Food Guide, is open Thursday to Sunday for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is served daily and the classic 'High Tea' on Sunday afternoons. To suit the mood and the occasion, guests can dine in the grandeur of the formal dining room or the elegant a la carte brasserie or relax outside on the lakeside terrace. The best in local seasonal produce, Estate grown herbs, and breads, pastas and ice creams made in the restaurant kitchen, provide the basis for a gourmet menu, accompanied by a well rounded wine list.

High Tea on Sundays - Enjoy the rebirth of a classic tradition with finger sandwiches, jam and cream on fresh hot scones, sweet and savoury pastries, luscious slices and cakes, complete with coffee, tea and decadent beverages. Of course, there's no need to save room for dinner! Commencing at 3.30pm with bookings essential.
High Tea and Opera

Enjoy our lovely operatic duo with your High Tea on the first Sunday of each month. The featured Arias are a perfect complement to the grand Woodman Estate setting. Your afternoon will be a truly memorable event. Special ticket prices apply.

Conference facilities

Conference facilities provide for up to 16 executives in the Boardroom and 30 participants theatre style in the Lake View Room. Up to 15 delegates can be accommodated overnight.

Woodman Estate also caters for weddings, social and business functions, be they cocktail parties, grand dinners or luncheons.

Recreational facilities

Billiards, croquet, tennis (floodlit), indoor spa pool, sailing, rowing and nature walks on the property. The natural lake is fed by spring water. It is stocked with trout and redfin and available for you to practice fly-fishing on a 'catch and release' basis. If you would like to try fly-fishing, Woodman Estate's fishing instructor can provide all gear and assist with your technique.
